How it works
| The solids-laden stream of liquid enters the separator tangentially through the inlet which immediately creates a strong centrifugal force on the solids content. Fluid is forced around the circumference of the body to accelerate heavier particles.
Open the manual relief valve (1) after system installation to bleed off trapped air. Periodic bleeding of air should be done as part of a routine maintenance program. The spin plate (2) deflects solids that may enter the vortex region and shortens the travel of vortex. Solids pass the gap between the bottom spin plate and the inner wall of the separator (3), and are deposited in the collection chamber. Bottom spin arrestors (4) help prevent solids from reentering the vortex. The collected solids settle to the bottom of the separator in an elliptical head (5).
